Prayer Team 2012

The Prayer Team for 2012 is smaller than in 2011 but is still growing and, I hope, more committed than ever. The requests we receive are urgent, highly-varied, heart-wrenching and, without exception, beyond human solutions. Some are sad; some contain a touch of humour; all are important to the one making the request (and to our Heavenly Father). If, as a Christian at North Turramurra, you long to make a difference in this world and God is stirring your heart, please join the team! Surely a team of 40 fervent prayers in 2012 is not an impossible dream?

Unity in the journey to a new senior minister.

Phase 3 – Unity in the Journey

The Elders want to thank the whole Church for their significant efforts last year to help give the Cathcarts a wonderful farewell. So our challenge now is to grow in unity together.

The good news is, the Ministry Search Team have diligently worked through and prayed about the applications made to our senior minister advertisement, which closed on 18 November 2011. The Search Team interviewed 3 candidates and after two meetings with each, sought references for 2 of the candidates. Again with a significant amount of discussion, reflection and prayer the Search Team made a unanimous recommendation to the Elders to interview one of the candidates.

Refurbishing the manse

The Manse was left in spotless condition by the Cathcarts, but unfortunately is now in need of work to make it suitable for our new pastor and family. Some major areas of work are:

Carpets
Lighting
Blinds
Paintwork
Cooling and heating

Are you a master at mowing lawns, able to sing, or happy to set up communion? We'd love to have you join in to serve in whatever way you like. All sorts of positions are ready to be filled, and you definitely don't need to be an expert. Please see Loida or the sign-up sheet in the church lobby.
